Congratulations to Brett and Lucy Knight in Davis, Oklahoma on the start of their new home! People are coming out of the woodwork (no pun intended) to see the progress on a 2,000 sq. ft. home going up under towering pine trees at 521 East Allen. The Knights are active in their community and are a pleasure to work with!
Financing is provided by The Bank of the Arbuckles in Davis, quite an impressive bank...
We've wrapped up our charity water pledge for 2011 with a total of $2,175. Together with Bank of Commerce, we were able to help fund a project to bring clean water to a village in a developing country. On average, projects cost $5,000 and can serve 250 people with clean water. 100% of public donations go directly to water projects. All operating costs are covered by a group of private donors so every dollar given can go to people in need. Almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. charity water is working to change that. And moving on...
