While the CEO of this company didn't slow in the summer, the chief photographer & documenter worked on her tan with her children and this blog was not, what I would say, "child friendly!" And in my defense, the customers who we built for were on the job site every day and chasing their kids as well!

But it was productive. Memories were made, sports were sported,
and vocabulary was broadened.
And Wisian was still at work. Thanks to the following families for allowing us to help build on your dreams this summer: Brian & Terri Quinn in Marietta, Chris & Misty Boswell in Springer, Jake & Autumn Hembree in Ardmore, Dee & Josh Smith in Elgin, & The Merez Family in Elgin. To keep the highway hot, Joel built five homes for Chickasaw Indian families in Ada, Duncan, & Marietta.

As mentioned before, we are doing what we can to give back to the communities in which we build in 2011. One tangible, trackable, attainable commitment we made is to donate $100 to the school system in which we build a home. Throughout the summer months, we have accrued a number of schools in which we are happy to help as they start another school year:
Charles Evans-$100
Plainview Primary-$300
Springer: ACT Tests for kids taking the prep class-$100
Marietta-$300
Elgin-$200
Latta-$100
Duncan Food For Kids-$200
And, Our donation to charity water increased by $1,100, and with a match by our friends at Bank of Commerce for $275, bringing our total 2011 donation to Charity:water so far to $1,800. Helping to bring water to a village.
